In order to participate in a masked ball, she made herself a female Batman™ costume. As she goes to the ball, Barbara sees Bruce Wayne being kidnapped by Killer-Moth and the Moth Men. Unable to sit idly by, she tries to save Gotham's billionaire and ends up becoming Batgirl™, a vigilante alongside Batman™ and Robin™ to fight crime in Gotham City hiding her identity under her superb costume.
